We're super excited to finally give a name to one of our most popular bespoke pieces: the Scarborough Crescent Bench.
This beauty has been a customer favourite for a while now, and for good reason. It's not just a bench, it's a statement piece! We've been crafting these beauties in various sizes for the past couple of years, and they've been turning heads wherever they go.
So what makes the Scarborough Crescent Bench so special? It's all about the ergonomic undulating wavy lines of the backrest and seat. They're like a gentle wave, inviting you to relax and unwind. Think of it as a hug from Mother Nature, but in the form of a bench.

Why is it called the Scarborough Crescent bench?
You know, it's all about the shape! Ever noticed how the backrest and seat of this bench gently curve, like a crescent moon? Well, that's why it's called the Scarborough Crescent!
The name comes from two things:
- The shape: The curved design is inspired by the Scarborough range of straight wooden benches we make.
- The place: Scarborough Crescent is a real place in Scarborough, England. The road and surrounding Victorian hotels actually form a crescent shape, too!
So, there you have it! The name is a nod to both the design and the location. Pretty cool, right?
It goes perfectly with the standard range of straight Scarborough benches, so you can choose the perfect fit for your space. It's like a family of benches, each with its own unique charm. Imagine a curved bench nestled beside a straight one, creating a beautiful flow of lines and textures.
